• A Direct Spectral Editor which provides you with the ability to manually attenuate or interpolate very long-lived noise events found on live recordings like coughs, whistling, chair movement and other unwanted spurious signals. We have also augmented the performance of the manual interpolator through the use of a combination of time and frequency domain techniques.
• Two very useful restoration effects called the Sub-Harmonic and the Overtone Synthesizer. These new effects help re-create the lost lower and upper octaves of a recording adding more life to your restorations.
• File support has been extended to Broadcast Wave (BWF), FLAC, and Ogg Vorbis.
• The built in CD burner now supports Disc-at-Once (gapless) CD creation along with CD text support. DC8 also supports Data Disc burning capability.

The LT-MADI is an L-Slot interface for the Aurora 8 and Aurora 16 A/D D/A converters that provides digital input and output in MADI (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface) format. Up to four Aurora converters (using four LT-MADI cards) can be combined for up to 64 channels. MADI is a proven technology for distributing multichannel audio in large venues, live recording and multiroom studios with the convenience of either optical fiber or coaxial cabling.

PCI Express AES/EBU Interface

Multiple connectivity options are available on the NEW AES16e-50 PCI Express Card. In addition to offering 16 channels of 192 kHz AES/EBU digital I/O via its two d-sub ports, the AES16e-50 has 32 digital I/O channels using AES50 technology. AES50 provides a bi-directional, point-to-point connection for multi-channel audio and system control over a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable. The benefits include reliable high-bandwidth data transfers, low latency, and low clock jitter. Complete networks can be built using routers with multiple AES50 ports.

The AES50 port on the AES16e-50 provides up to 32 channels at 48 kHz, 24 channels at 96 kHz and 12 channels at 192 kHz. The single network cable also transmits sample clock and control data, making the AES16e-50 ideal for permanent installations, broadcast and live sound applications. Sixteen channels of sample rate conversion is also included on the AES16e-50.
